Is it possible to copy the entire contents of one Topic and paste it into a new topic? I'm working on my Museum Additions mod and it's going to be a pain to deal with the item topics unless I can figure out a way to do this.

The short answer is no. The long answer is maybe, if you brave the wilds of the Export Data option.

Yeah, I've begun exporting it. Not the easiest task, but better than starting everything from scratch.

I don't know how you are exporting this, but I would have done it this way:
Start up a new mod with your mod in the background.
*-mark the dialog lines you want to use in your right mod. Rename the topic in this new esp. Save the esp.
Merge this new little esp with your original esp.
Shouldn't take many minutes

Won't the dialog ID numbers conflict if you do that? Or have you tested this and found it to work.

They will conflict when the topics and lines aren't identical in both mods, I had to learn this the hard way, when Havish disabled Haldenshore's BlackJack gambling...
So after changing the topic better make copies of each dialogue line, to be sure you won't conglict. (Depending on the number of lines it might be easier to use an Hex-Editor to change the IDs, the IDs are stored as text, not as numbers so it's very easy to search and modify them)

Ooh!! I didn't know that - I thought it was safe as long as the topic was new. (dialog wouldn't belong in the same "string"). Well, you learn something new everyday...
